Not sure what you're doing with your stats or your skills, but the base concept is OK, except that the Quarterstaff is not a high crit weapon (either range or multiplier), you don't have Improved Critical, and you don't have much damage to crit. You can't do much about the first, but you need to do something about the latter two.
